We will dine at the fabulous Black Sheep in Cape Town, and the highly popular Mantra in trendy Camps Bay. Our accommodations are at the  beautiful President Hotel  on the Cape Town Sea Point Promenade, an excellent location, safe for exploring by foot, visiting markets and beautiful beaches. Beautiful vistas!

The Safari Adventure
We fly directly from Cape Town to Hoedspruit, very close to our safari destination, which  is within the greater world famous Kruger National Game Reserve at the Jackalberry Lodge. Our beautiful accommodations are at a luxury private camp. This is beyond “glamping”. Air conditioning, private bathrooms, swimming pool and gorgeous common areas.

We experience 2 game drives per day in an open air land rover with highly experienced guides, on a hunt for animal viewing. The reserve has lions, elephant, cheetah, rhino, hippos, giraffe, and a population of the endangered African wild dog and of course many other species of game, in their natural habitat.

All meals are included. Sundowners are served out in the bush on the afternoon game drive. It is difficult to explain the serene tone of being in the bush, contrasted with the excitement and vibrant feeling of aliveness by being so incredibly close to nature at her finest. For most, this is an experience of a lifetime!

Today  includes a visit to Soweto, South Africa’s biggest and most famous township, with over a million residents and a tumultuous history. Then its off to the apartheid museum.

The Rave Reviews are IN!

I cannot say enough about the amazing South African vacation with Mandy 4 years ago! It was so well planned and jam packed with amazing activities.  Everything from the beauty of people, the locations, the delicious food, fills you heart with so much joy and warmth.  The safari is out of this world!  I am so happy and grateful to have experienced it all! Mandy took so good care of us. I will never forget it!

This was the trip of a lifetime — to do something so extraordinarily different in an extraordinarily different environment. Being so close to nature amongst beautiful and majestic animals, this trip was the perfect combination of raw experience, comfort, sightseeing, history, physical activity and yoga, great meals, and culture. Everything was so well balanced and I could not have asked for more.   The memories and cherished bond amongst our group will last I hope for a lifetime.

South Africa still gives me feelings of a full heart. It is one of the most beautiful places that we have had the pleasure to visit. We truly fell in love with its beauty, its people and its rich history. Robbins Island, hiking the cape of hope, breaking bread with new friends, practicing yoga with Busi, the apartheid museum, being one with the animal kingdom, cocktails at sunset, coffee and muffins at sunrise, drinks and spitting contests in the bush were all truly beyond our expectations. Mandy kept the flow friendly and relaxed. The schedule was easy and allowed plenty of time to unwind and reflect. Give yourself this once in a lifetime experience if you can. Travel longer to get have the trip be more comfortable would be my advice. It is long. I promise, it will be life changing. Bring your cameras. You look at everything with fresh eyes after returning and you are more grateful and humble for all that we have after returning. Mandy is a native of this beautiful country and keeps you in the moment. Sawubona!

My husband and I have always wanted to go on safari and when Mandy offered the retreat, we could not refuse. What better way to travel in South Africa, then with a local. Mandy had every detail planned for the once in a lifetime vacation, from breakfast, tours, dinner and downtime. South Africa is a truly beautiful country and the safari was absolutely amazing. We met fantastic people that were also part of our retreat, which made our experience even more fun. We enjoyed the retreat so much that we are scheduled for another retreat with Mandy to Peru in 2023.

My heart is always full after a yoga vacation with Mandy!!! Being guided by her abundant love and joy, she’s always leading me to form deeper connections to the people and places we visited and most importantly to myself. Experiencing her home country of South Africa was magical and left an indelible mark on me.
