Jennifer Cece is a certified and registered yoga teacher through Juluka Yoga Studios. She is also a teacher of Pilates through Physical Mind Pilates Method. Jennifer concerns herself with the practical applications of yoga for stress management and daily living, so she studied with Amy Weintraub, author of Yoga for Depression, and received certification in the Lifeforce Yoga, which is a type of yoga that uses yoga to manage emotional issues and stress. Jennifer, a New Jersey certified and licensed teacher of music, brings to her yoga and pilates classes, her diverse background and her fourteen years experience teaching and coaching vocal performers.
She has earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Richmond, Virginia where she also studied singing under a vocal music scholarship. Jennifer earned her Masters in Music from New Jersey City University, and sings regularly in the tristate area. Jennifer advocates the benefits of pranayama (yoga breathing), asana, and meditation for improved vocal performance. Jennifer can be heard presenting her lecture "The Benefits of Yoga for Performers" at various venues in the metropolitan area, including Westchester Community College. She has also worked with cancer survivors at Albert Einstein College of Medicine teaching the benefits of pranayama for stress management.
